World Book Day - 7th March

I am excited to be invited to local primary schools for World Book Day on 7th March 2024. At the schools, I will be able to read some of The Razcaleers and The Tale of Bothersome Mr Bone to children aged 6 to 8 years. As part of this, we will be singing The Razcaleers song which is in the book. We will also be creating some BUBBZLES which are the bubble laughs that come from The Razcaleers' noses. I think there will be lots of laughter on the day.

I am passionate about children enjoying reading books. With this in mind, The Razcaleers conveys a message about how adults can forget what it is like to be a child. In the book, Mr Bone finds laughter again. Hopefully, this will help children see although adults can be grumpy they all are capable of laughter.

I also wanted to include children's outside made-up games and capture my love for the outdoors and adventure from my childhood. I hope we can all have a great time chatting about these ideas from the book.

I will report back here with photographs and news of how the events unfolded!
